Which retro gaming system would provide the most fun?
I was thinking of picking up a retro gaming system. Something cheap. Maybe along the lines of a Super Nintendo, PS1, etc. I’m gravitating to the SNES, because it has a fairly simple controller and I like the overall look and feel of the games.
Just looking around, used SNES systems with maybe a couple of games seem to be going for . PS1’s can be had for .
So what systems do you remember being particularly fun for gaming? And what games were the funnest?

For CD based consoles you can download emulators and stick your game CDs in your PC. PS1 disks are black but your PC should be able to read them. You can also play PS1 games on a PS2 or PS3. So you don’t actually need a PS1, just the games. That might be why they only cost $20.
I couldn’t really say which system was more fun, but SNES games were mostly 2D while PS1 games had moved on to 3D. You’ll probably find most PS1 games have been done a hundred times over on modern systems but the 2D SNES games offer something that doesn’t really exist on a modern computer (well not legally anyway). So I’d recommend a SNES or maybe a Sega Genesis.
