Why does Admiral Akbar sound retarded?

Have you ever seen an intelligent sounding fish creature?

32x had the power to do a really good star wars, this graphics engine was good enough for me, pitty it was such a stiff game. But I still really liked the whole 32bit star wars addon thingy overall. It was cool to show people the graphics of the superstar destroyer and death star….which were pretty trippy and way beyond a snes power at least.

Does Amy Winehouse count?
Oh, sorry she’s not intelligent is she…

No, that was the Atari arcade game, from the 80s. This Sega game dates from the early 90s.

Most of the videos posted for this game consist of retards playing the first couple of training levels and concluding that the game is boring.
Kudos for actually showing one of the levels that showcases the 32X’s graphical abilities.

I had that game once. Nice enough game, but there was some nasty slowdown at times, plus all the darn button combos you had to press for various communications if you only had a 3 button controller

I had this game, it rocked!

I loved this game growing up. This is actually one of the few 32X games I actually enjoy playing. Problem with my 32X is that 3/4th of the time I could not get the games to work for it. Thanks for sharing.

There were definitely some issues with reliability. I’m not having any problems with this particular 32X, but on the one I had back in ‘94, Virtua Racing wouldn’t play for more than 20 minutes or so without the game crashing.

The original Star Wars game from the early 80s is my favourite too. Id love to play it again but dont think anywhere has it anymore so have to make do with emulation.

The 32x version is worse than the arcade version.
June 26th, 2009 at 11:29 am
Well of course it is. 32X uses a single Hitachi 32 bit RISC chip and cost £150. The Sega System 1 board in the arcade game uses umpteen dsp chips and cost multiple thousand pounds… so expensive in fact that most normal sized arcades couldn’t afford them.
It’s like saying that a Ford Fiesta has less power than a Boeing 747.

thats a funny analogy but true, the 32x version is all i can say i have played
i still think x wing vs tie fighter series on pc was the best star wars universe based game

Nope, it uses 2 32Bit SH2 processors @ 23Mhz each.
The 68k of the MD is used as Co-Processor.
