The Amazon reviews say it doesn’t emulate sound very accurately. Who do I believe…

well it’s an emulator….so yeah it’s not going to be as good as the real thing. Why you’d bother getting these emu-systems is beyond me when it’s pretty easy getting an old nes.

Heh, mine came last week.
I got it mostly for the SNES side, though, as I have an operable NES. The NES sound is in fact pretty poorly emulated on the RD, and I like to think I’m not overly picky about such things. It kind of sounds like the TV speaker is covered with about three layers of plastic wrap. That’s the best way I can describe it.
The SNES side runs great. I haven’t noticed any glaring emulation issues.
Now I’m just waitin’ for my PowerPak to come.

Yeah i dont think they’re a bad idea especially if it gets people interested in classic gaming.

it AIN’T AN EMULATOR!!! it uses the same software as the snes and nes! read about it a little more. god forbid you guys go BLIND trying to read about and listen to the video instead of COMPLANING and GOSSIPING like 12 year old pubesent little girls.

Does the system work with european NES-games?

i have some other questions- is the 8-bit a tight fit, are the pins tightly packed? (most NES systems meet get screwed up by the pins warping out of place especially the 8bit “toaster push” design)
As well, can you try out Paperboy and Battle toads (8-bit pain in the ass games that just so happen to run into play problems on both duo and fc twin- reportedly)

your game just needs a good blowing or cleaning. that happens occasionally to me…cleaning helps
