What more could a gamer want?
Simple: a functioning controller!
If I ever get one of these, I am going to go on and spend the cash on restored controllers, and pray to god all holds out well.

Atari 5200 a first class system? It would be if it wasn’t for the controller.

Atari 5200 is a powerful gaming system. It never gets rusty with use since the fucking controller never works and high resolution graphics are awesome to watch, since you can’t possibly want to watch a good movie instead of the opening screen of a 5200 game :O

Good luck with the shit controller.

Very sad. The system had potential. Atari should have released a smaller case design. Also, they should have stuck with a variation of the original controller design for the 2600. If only we could go back in time and tell the moron designers!!!

“What else could a gamer want?”
-A smaller case and a controller that doesn’t break and that is NOT just a damn ripoff of the Colecovision Controller.

i think billy mitchell should bitch slap this dude for playing the game like this.

Hoques, the Colecovision came out -after- the 5200, so who ripped off who?
February 20th, 2010 at 9:46 pm
According to Wikipedia, the Colecovision was released in the USA in August 1982. The Atari 5200 was released in the USA November 1982. Besides, back then all companies ripped each other off. Even TV shows in the 80’s..Webster was a rip-off of Different Strokes, Airwolf tried to be cool like the Original Kight Rider, etc.

Well, the 5200 ripped off the Intelivision, i guess. Heres my fought.
