Classic Game Room HD reviews GEOMETRY WARS RETRO EVOLVED for Xbox 360 from XBLA Xbox Live Arcade. This download game from Bizarre Creations is a cross between Robotron 2084 and Solar Quest on the Vectrex. Blast little geometric shapes with your space ship thingy using twin stick Robotron style controls. Slick gameplay and excellent presentation make this game stand out among many similar titles. Increase your multiplyer for a high score and tear into never ending waves of enemies as you play one of the most challenging and frustrating games ever created. Geometry Wars is great fun and well made, both good things for an excellent downloadable, affordable game from Xbox Live Arcade. This CGR review of Geometry Wars Retro Evolved has gameplay from Geometry Wars showing Geometry Wars game play in action. Are you looking for Geometry Wars tutorial videos or how to play Geometry Wars? Don’t learn from CGR, I suck! But there is such depth and challenge to the game that fans of the arcade shooter genre will dig this one.

Super Stardust HD or Every Day Shooter are both good. Every Day Shooter does not have trophies, but it has a cool looking style and great music. Super Stardust HD is definitely better than both Every Day Shooter and Geometry Wars, it has splitscreen coop, online versus, the arcade mode has stages with end bosses. I definitely would say go with Super Stardust HD if you got the money for it and the add-on dlc.

The newer release with 4 player multiplayer is pretty good, although it sadly lacks online support – but they’ve made up for this with different game play modes that are very impressive.

The enemies spawn on your position and some of them can only be killed by shooting them certain ways.

this is even better than robotron controlls. Analog direction of fire! Now they gotta give us a sequal to SMASH TV using these controls.

Can you eat the points, no. Can you use them to buy things, no. Will they get you laid, unlikely. Can you even wipe your ass with them? Not even. Therefore worthless. However, you just keep racking up the achievement points. With comments like this, it suits you.

I feel your pain there Mark. I am also not very good at this game. This is way harder then bullet hell shmups because in those game there are patterns to dodge the bullets. This however just throws stuff at you randomly.
