Can DS play other consoles games such as NES or SNES?

With emulators that can be installed to DS Lite via flash cart as an example?
I’d love to play retro games such as NES or SNES on my DS Lite. That would be cool. I know DS Lite can play GBA games but is there any other I can play games I already have without having to carry about 50 carts? Yes, I have that much!!

Haha so far i know that NDS flash card can play NES and GB games…(I never know it can play GBA roms tho*)
I once played the… Mario Brother 2 on it (the one you can ride on yoshi…) and it was cool. but i think you won’t play it for too long
