Alien Vs Predator on Atari Jaguar retro games console
www.retrogamingcollector.com —————- Alien Vs Predator on the Atari Jaguarretro games console. Retro gaming. This is not a review, walkthrough, playthrough, or demonstration of my playing ability. It’s simply a quick demonstration of the game so that anyone not familiar with these old games can see what it looks like. It’s also here so that I can embed it, along with most of the games in my collection, on my website (see link above). Any opinions or comments I make regarding these games should largely be taken with a pinch of salt. They are usually based on my first impressions after a very brief play.

does look alot like Doom, but i dont suppose that can ever be a bad thing, and steve we need more megadrive reivews the fate of humanity rests on you…
February 13th, 2009 at 11:27 pm
Sorry, I’ve recorded and uploaded all of the Megadrive games in my collection, so until I buy more, the fate of humanity looks very shaky… lol.

Is it just the enviroment that’s 3D?
The Aliens look like simple 2D Sprites.
February 21st, 2009 at 9:46 pm
Yeah, I think it’s only the walls that are 3D. Everything else appears to be sprites, much the same as Doom.

I would like to see more of this game, if you could make another video it would be great.
thanks!
April 25th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
did you manage to finish this game???
me not, it’s very hard.
April 25th, 2009 at 11:58 pm
No, I only played it for the duration of the video.
It’s one of many I’ll come back to when I get the time, though having several web based projects on the go, time is in rather short supply.

tempus 2000 is the jag game
May 6th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Tempest 2000 is certainly a great game, it just doesn’t command such a high price on ebay, as it’s easier to find.
June 11th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
I just picked this up on Ebay and never would have come to the decision to buy it if not for you, bless you sir!!

Thepulse rifle was in the air ducts. The flame thrower was in a really hard to get room, i remember. The last gun, i forgot where it was, I do remember the banana code that gave you all the weapons at the beginning.

pc version is better but hey a decent game on the jag well i never!
October 6th, 2009 at 5:55 pm
The PC game came somewhat later, so they had time to refine it, not to mention superior hardware.
October 6th, 2009 at 6:03 pm
well that kinda makes sense they had more time to tweak it
November 22nd, 2009 at 8:04 pm
wow this game looks boring
November 28th, 2009 at 3:41 am
no AvP on jag was the KILLER APP
December 9th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
I have this game and back in 1994 this game and doom for the Jag were the best. The 3d0 could not to FPS as well as the Jag. Atari should of pushed more FPS games because the Jag was much better at those type of games then the 3do.

I remember reading a review of this in Edge in 1994 and creaming my pants at the visuals. They don’t look so hot now! lol Still, not that bad considering 15 years have passed; still looks better than many PS1 games from the late 90s.
