Classic Game Room HD reviews the MAS NEO-GEO SUPER PRO STICK arcade joystick for the Neo-Geo CD, Neo Geo CDZ and Neo-Geo AES game consoles. MAS stands for Multi Arcade System and MAS is an American based company out of California that makes awesome, real arcade style controllers for a variety of game consoles. They have Super Pro Stick controlers for the Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Sony PS2, Playstation 1 and Neo Geo game consoles. Here’s a look at the neogeo Super Pro Stick which works on the CD, CDZ and AES. A real arcade style joystick with 8-way controls and actual arcade buttons are ideal for fighting games on the Neo-Geo like Final Fight, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown and King of Fighters.

It’s a good concept …. like most supergun controllers but for fighting games …. there not heavy enough and tend to move around to much when playing fighting games which makes pulling off moves troublesome. Even with rubber feet it doesn’t help much or puts you into a back breaking position when playing with it flat on the floor. I’ll take the standard controller any day over that!

Why is it always Japanese or American? You assume only companies from those regions make these products. I guarantee you I would find a British, Chinese (ESPECIALLY), French, Taiwanian, Korean, or Australian manufacturer as well. But why should I have to prove anything? All I know is that some countries aren’t given enough recognition for this area.

Actually X-arcade does use Happ parts.
I own an Xarcade dual stick, 2 Hot Rod SE’s, and one I built from scratch and all have genuine Happ sticks & buttons.. Ifor some reason you didn’t like them you could swap them out for a few bucks anyway.
If anyone is considering this for mame, or other classic games such as pacman I would advise against it primarily becauase of the 8 way stick. I would upgrade it to a switchable (auto-mechanical) type 4way/8way for perfect gaming like you remember!

Vectrex uses analog control though, so some game would be wacky..
