Yeah it’s called emulation. The way it works is these programs called emulators can work as game consoles but they can function on a computer. They are also free and so are the games. http://www.emulator-zone.com/ is a good place to get some emulators and go to http://www.romulation.net/ for games. Hope I helped!

The Wii lets you download from WiiShop Channel Mario’s most popular hits like Mario 64, original Mario Kart etc… In the PS3 you can download a few PS1 games… By few I mean about 7 unnknown games… By the way none of this is free

Eh, Zelda and Mario, those are Nintendo games. So obviously, you cant download them on any system other than something owned by Nintendo. So, the Wii allows you to, but you need to pay for them. No getting them free. Frogger, Galaga, PacMan, I know can be downloaded on the 360 through the marketplace. I would imagine the PS3 would have something similar. You WILL need one of the new consoles to download them though. The Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, or the PS3.

All three of the current consoles do this, though the Wii has the most emphasis on it, and is the only place you’ll get Mario and Zelda in particular.
